Girls WHO Code breaks the links with Activision Blizzard and ends his partnership

In the latest news from those against the current job environment Blizzard, Girls WHO Code decided to take a step back and break the links with the gaming company. For those who know the groups idea, it makes sense. On the contrary, it is surprising that the links have not been cut earlier. Girls WHO Code declared in a published statement. Our priority has been and will always be to defend women and other under-represented groups in technology and to ensure that they receive the support and stability they need to globally flourish while pursuing a Career in computer science.

This does not mean that Girls WHO Code is not aware of the gaps of various companies in the technology and games industry. Indeed, it usually tries to work with companies in order to find answers to their problems of discrimination and harassment. But according to the Defense Group, there is a line, and the allegations against Activision have taken this line.

Its best because Girls Who Code has organized an immersion program during the summer to introduce high school girls to find network contacts and professional exhibition, Blizzard from the program since 2018. Fortunately, Girls WHO Code will be more than agree without Blizzard: Some of its partners of 2021 included large companies such as Apple, Logitech, humble bundle, Rockstar Games, Electronic Arts, Riot Games, Microsoft, among many others.
